l have a 2001 Ford Explorer with keyless entry. The keyfob will unlock the the explorer. The panic button works. It simply wo not lock the vehicle from the remote keyfob. l have tried different fobs with the same results so l am relatively sure it is not in the keyfob itself. Any ideas on what to look at in order to fix this without my having to pay a dealership mounds of money to fix this issue? A side note, The keypad on the drivers door also is not working. Thanks for your reponses in advance.

Circuitry error. Do not try fixing this yourself. Take the car to a mechanic.
