If the drivers side door receives too much sunlight on a hot day, the drivers side window wo not operate until it cools.While pressing the switch at those times, clicking can be heard. Relay?However, the passenger window operates as it should and does not seem to be heat affected. Different switches for passenger and driver door.

If l was to guess between them 3, l would say the motor.

Been there before. Mustang windows are weird.

3 things to check:

Switch, motor and also, there are limiters on top of the door that keep the window from going up to far, which causes the gears in the assembly to bind. Take off the door panel and adjust them down about a 1/4 inch, then try. Taking out the assembly is no joke, it has to be drilled out.
