My GF is Escape only has one key and no keyless entry key fobs(she bought it used) and l would assume that pretty much all vehicles nowadays have Keyless entry standard. Im not sure what year hers is, maybe 01 or 02. How can l find out if it has keyless entry and where can l buy a few key fobs?Can l buy some off ebay and have the dealership program it? she could also use a spare key, are they microchipped? If so, is that dealership also? Thanks. I'd like to surprise her with all this, but l doubt it....

vehicle does have a pats key or chip, (passive anti theft). With only one good key u will have to take the vehicle to ur local dealer & have it programmed. As far as keyless its not standard but if it has electric locks it should. You can get key pads off ebay & program them ur self. Sit in the car & close the door. Put the key in the ignition & cycle it about 8 times until u hear the door locks automatically lock & unlock, keep the key in the on position when u hear his happen. Press the key pad of the transmitter lock button, then do the other transmitter. Both programmed.
