Why don`t the big 3 auto makers build a SUV that is hybrid and make it affordable to the middle class

Why does not the middle class get over its love of SUV's?
First they tell the Big Three they want SUV's.
Then they get mad because the Big Three make SUV's.
Now they want a Hybrid SUV!
The Big Three just can not do anything right can they. No matter what they build and market, the middle class wants something else!

l guess it depends on what you consider affordable.

All 3 offer hybrids:
Saturn Vue
Ford Escape
Mercury Mariner
Dodge Durango
Chrysler Aspen
Chevy Tahoe

The Saturn appeared to have the lowest price of the bunch, but the Satun/Ford/Mercury were around 30k. The Tahoe/Aspen/Durango were around 15-20k more.

Because the middle class no longer has the credit rating to be approved at 0%. The middle class no longer make the money they once commanded in the workplace.

If u knew anything about cars then u would know that is a stupid question to ask. For starters hybrids cost a lot of make & there is no way of cutting corners in order for one to be produced at a cheaper cost without there being major problems. As it is u can live or go of a dealer with in 30 mile radius cause of the electrical system the hybrid uses & fails. Secondly SUV is r cheap especially after the gas at the price it was. Owning my truck & paying for gas people were saying l drove a luxrury car just because of the cost of gas. If u need an SUV in the long run it will be cheaper then trying to get a forgein hatchback it isnt economical to get a 4 or 6 cyclinder SUV get a v8 it last longer & is more durable.

To start with, hybrid is a joke. Hybrid cars are not what they are cooked up to be. The eletric part only works at low speed and low rpm for in town driving. If you put a hybrid car on the interstate, it gets about 25 mpg.
