when l go to shift my gears grind. is that caused by a blown out through out bearing? or clutch?
it seems to drive just fine when its in gear, its when im comming to a rolling stop in neutral it makes a grinding noise. the only time l here that noise when its in neutral. when im at a complete stop in neutral it makes a clicking noise, ill pump the clutch a few times and the noise goes away.

Probably the synchronizers gone bad in the trans.

My guess is that it is the clutch linkage system.
Worn cable or failing slave cylinder.
Maybe it is just that you are not depressing the clutch all the way, and the car is fine!

Is this a recent thing or just something you've been dealing with that may have worsened? If it was gear specific I'd say synchros, but if it is in every gear I'd agree with Old Man, either linkage related or operator error. Your clutch would slip if it was that bad, and you would hear a ''whine'' from your tranny when in neutral with the clutch out if it was the throw out bearing that would go away when you depress the clutch.

May be broken teeth on the gear clusters and / or worn synchronizers as mentioned. Shaft bearing may be chewing into the shaft wearing it out, too.
