What motor set up do you think is best to run in a 302?
Im talking about the top end im looking to super charge it and run low 9 is or high 8 is l do not wanna use nitrous...

Everything u want can be found at ur local ''FORD'' dealers parts department.In the motor sports catalog. l sure hope u have built the bottom end of ur motor to be as bulletproof as possible.Et is in that range from a small block engine is going to put some major stresses on u engine & unless u enjoy replacing EXPENSIVE engine components on a regular basis l would lower my expectations.Of course if u have a endless budget then l recommend buying a complete ready to run dyno tested engine from someone like ''Billy Glidden'' or ''John Kase''.

Look into doing a turbo kit(more effecent,doesnt run off belt etc) with forged internals, 31 spline axles with a good gear(about 4:10),solid uca,lca and look into sub frame connectors and you will need a cage to be legal at the track otherwise they will kick you off. You will also need to build your trans up pretty good.

...(and of course this is just not an engine set-up, so i'm sure you've r also listing the chassis rebuilds required).
in terms of actual rwhp l think u will have to be in the range of 700 & have to have gobs of torque (600rw?).
either supercharger or turbo/twin turbo will get a properly detailed engine to those heights (high boost plus race gas, 114 octane).
key will be ur block - internals.
you have l think 3 options,
1) pull out ur existing engine, do bore/stroke port & polish & full rebuild with forged (race ready internals) then decide on what supercharger or turbo set up u want ( sc or turbo decision perhaps easiest part of this build)..or 2)drop in a new ready to rock crate engine (race ready/forged internals, lots of sites around & easy to ck out the prices for a short or long block dart or windsor) that will fit ur build) 3)look for a used engine to install ..best pick would be 2003 or 2004 cobra engine came from the factory race ready, these can likely be taken up to ur rwhp requirements.
you will have to match up ur new engine with race clutch (dfx centerforce or above) & transmission, driveline & rearend.)
the supercharger or turbo (twin turbo) charger selection will be dependent in large part how ur engine rebuild shapes up. if it were me l would be building it for a very high boost (say way over 20 pounds, paxton or kenne bel perhaps) . lots of turbos now in kit form for either short or long block ford engines, they r more efficient than a supercharger, but also run very hot (so need things like coatings/wrappings) & because of all the piping especially for twin turbos r heavier..plus turbo is a lot more $
if the build was planned right this car could still be made streetable.
