My 05 Ford Focus Ignition key is stuck in the slot and I can't get it out. What's wrong

push key in and shake steering wheel and pull again.. locks and keys wear out many do it..if the key doent come out then its shop time

two possibilities, the solenoid in the shifter is faulty, which requires replacing the shifter assembly. Try turning key to on position, depress brake pedal, pull shifter out of park and down to 1st gear, hold button on shifter in, then slam it into park, that may release the key. 2nd possibilitiy, tumblers in lock cylinder may of come loose and have fallen down, which requires replacing lock cylinder. Usually however, that is one that wo not turn in lock cylinder.

The focus Had a real problem with Ignition cylinders. You may need to take it to the shop
