it is an automatic but if the converter is seated properly with the tranny out if l turn the converter would the shaft on other end turn as well

ok look into where the shaft goes and you wil see it should have a slot and then look at end of shaft on trans and it shoul d have slot try and turn it so you know it should go

l will repeat..pull the plugs on the engine and have someone turn it slowly as you push in the transmission, there is a slot on the converter that has to line up..

The converter should be setting entirely inside the bell housing with the end of the nut shafts (if ur converter has them) about a half inch or so inside as well. Nothing should be prodruding outside the edge of the housing.

The holes on the converter is offset so there is only one way it will fit in. Make sure the flex plate & converter is oriented correctly before u start.
