l am getting rid of a truck and wanting a car.l was looking at a trans am but comparing with a mustang.l was just curious what kind of mileage the v8 and the v6 mustang gets.

V8 gets 15to 17 city.18 to 21 highway..V6 18 to 21 city and 21 to 25 highway.

if your going to get a mustang its gotta be a 5.0, you wont get one from the years you want just 4.6L v8 l could be wrong 94 might of had a 5.0

l had a 91 mustang 5.0. it got about 18 miles a gallon. l just got rid of it. :( hope that helps. it was a v8 w/ a 302 in it l think. (or was it a 305) ?? Anyway, l loved that car that is why l kept it for 17 years.

87-94 mustangs have the EF l 5.0 V8. l usually got about 18-19 around town using premium. This was a 1990 with almost 140K on the clock. a manual will get you around the same mileage as an automatic with these cars. Just stay out of the throttle around town and you could probably squeeze out 20. The V6 began production in 94, which was a 3.8 and gets around 24 MPG. 87-93 had a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder which got about the same mileage.

It depends on how heavy your foot is.
