Previously the engine overheated and all cooling system replaced, head gasket went bad and replaced, and water in oil made into a milk shake but also replaced. l need to know what possible long term damage there could be or if this car is worth buying. Asking price $2700 but hopefully down to $2400.

It sounds as if they hit all the possible repairs. As far as damage, it would depend on if they continued to try to drive the car until it quit, and/or how long the antifreeze and oil was mixed. If the previous owners stopped driving as soon as they noted it was bad and repairs were made within a reasonable amount of time, then mechanically it should be ok. Well, ok as far as from damage from the system.

$2700, even $2400, sounds very high for a car that has suffered so much damage. Unless u r a maintenence guru l would steer clear of a vehicle that has suffered damage like that. It is hard to know what else is wrong with it, or what could go wrong in the future. If u want something like a mustang, l would put forth the extra money & get one without damage like that. If that is not financially possible l would find another car. They r fun to drive, but a car that has had that much replaced had to have been driven very hard, & the guy is definitely getting rid of it for a reason. Sure it is possible that everything was fixed properly & the car is fine, but if u want to be safe, l would keep looking.

Also, if u r dead-set on this car, take it to a local mechanic shop u trust & have them inspect it before u buy. If the guy wo not let u do this, l would definitely forget about the car because that could mean he is hiding something big. The inspection will probably cost about $100, but it is worth the money if it saves u from dropping $2400 on a car that breaks down in 500 miles.

That is too much. l sold a 97 Mustang in great shape for $2400. It might have caused unseen damage that will show up later.

if the engine sounds good then its probably okay for a 14 year old motor. but the whole car is 14 years old & the whole car has 14 years of wear. And it is not like u r buying a classic. It is a plastic car just like all the other 95's
They r wanting to get back thier money but that is thier problem & not yours.

My opinion is to let it go. Look for something else.Offer 1200 tops.And thats only because u seem to have a fascination with it. l hope the tires r good.
