l just bought a mondeo 04 LX but dont know what the buttons on the steering wheel do, theres a plus, prog, and others, also a button next to the back windscreen heater button, with a windscreen with a bolt in it or something?

any help would be much apriciated!

Cruise control (on the right hand side of the steering wheel when centered), prog to set, + to accelerate or resume speed and the other one is to decelerate or coast. The other button next to the heated rear screen is probably for the heated front screen.

Edit: Just an afterthought, l am assuming you dont have a users manual with the car, you should go down to your nearest ford garage and get one! It will come in handy in the future!

The plus, minus, etc are stereo controls. Can you be more specific about the 'windscreen with a bolt' one?

''windscreen with a bolt in it''..that is heated windscreen..steering Control are either radio or cruse Control buttons.

plus and minus are for stereo volume and tuning

A mark 3 Mondeo has heated front and rear screens.the buttons are next to each other on the dashboard The other buttons on the column are for the radio/cd unit.Plus and minus is volume control and prog is programme selection.Hope this helps
