Really is in the eye of the beholder.

The Mustang came out in late 1964 and it had a few bugs which were worked out in 1964 and 1965. Personally, l think the best ''Stang'' was the 1966 with the 302 engine.

the 302 came out in 68, but l will always love the first year, it broke all sales records.. the new ones have the best performance and handling..

Wow Thats a loaded question, l personally am in to fox Body Mustangs 1979-1993 for there rapid availability, good performance, and tons of aftermarket parts available. 68 must be a pretty good year though a company just started manufacturing completly new bodys of the 68 mustang fastback and with all the available parts for the older cars you can completly rebuild one with all the parts available

Without a question 1969. You just can not beat that Boss 429. It really is the epitome of muscle car.
