l just lost my spare key to a remote start in my Mariner.l am going to purchase a new unprogrammed key and have it cut by a locksmith.My question is can l reprogram my new key in conjunction with the remote start key as well as my original programmed key.

Take back to who installed the remote start, programing the keys will wipe out the remote start transmitter. Remote start and keys must be programed at the same time.

Depending on the year, some of the pats systems allow on board programing u need to cycle the first key in the ign lock then put ur new key in & cycle it but go only to the on position do not go to the start position or it will never program.Now with that said some of the newer systems require two working keys be for u can program any new keys,but u still follow the same the same steps in the programming . l do this several times a week for customers. If u have the newer system u will need a dealer to do this or call a locksmith co,and ask them if they do this sort of work.
